📘 LESSON 8 : DO NOT FIGHT
Moral Values - 1
(Peter and Tom are brothers. Tom takes Peter's kite and tries to fly it.)
Story
Peter: Give me my kite, Tom. I want to fly it.
Tom: No, I'll fly it first. You can fly it afterwards.
Peter: It is my kite. Give it to me now.
Tom: No, do what you can.
Peter: Take this! (He hits Tom)
Mummy: Stop that fight. Good children do not fight.
Peter: I'll fight. Tom has taken my kite. It is not right.
Mummy: But it is wrong to fight. So do not fight, both of you. What happened to your kite, Tom?
Tom: I've lost it, mother.
Peter: So, he has taken mine. Is it right to take?
Mummy: Don't talk like that, Peter. Tom is your brother. Why don't you let him fly your kite?
Peter: He didn't ask me.
Tom: You hit me once. Now I'll hit you twice. (Tom hits Peter)
Mummy: What is this? Peter hits Tom. Tom hits Peter. You both are wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. Now, Peter, since you hit Tom first, say you are sorry.
Peter: Mummy is right. I am sorry, I hit you, Tom.
Tom: I am sorry too. I shouldn't have taken your kite.
Peter and Tom together:
You may be wrong,
And I may be right,
But it's not right to fight
For might can never be right.
Mummy: That's good. It's not right to fight.
